I love to keep my RV always in ship-shape. Do you as well?
Here are some of the points in my checklist to care for my RV (I usually say them common culprits of mobile home RV roof leaks):
Rain & Snow: Biggest enemy of my RV’s roof is the ponding water. If you can fight with it or do a close watch when to let it go and you do; you are the winner else your enemy wins.
Debris and low-hanging tree branches: It commonly create rips, holes, or loosened seals in your mobile home’s roof. And if ponding water stays longer than your RV should be hospitalized immediately.
Parking: Consider parking at spacious location. If parking at home and you have bunch of trees then must try to trim around your home. Flying debris you cannot control until you have nice neighbor (that you cannot control) and you are a superman to kick everything away from your RV (very difficult). Having a hanger for your RV can be a good idea (very costly to have a large garage to park your vehicle).
Condensation or improper ventilation: Also, many older RV’s and mobile homes start to present moisture issues caused by condensation or improper ventilation. Get an expert (do it yourself if you love it) to check the ventilation.
Material breakdown and improper installation: You learned or someone else learned on your vehicle during installation and yes he did what maximum he did bad for you (if you are not expert better to learn or hire an expert to do the job).
